Yeah I thought so. I flew a return CBR-SYD trip and checked in with Etihad Gold and didn't get priority tags either direction. I didn't really care either way as they were ATR72 flights about half full so it didn't take long for my bag to come anyway. I contacted Velocity to see if priority baggage was a perk afforded Etihad Guest Gold, as I thought they might like to know that checkin staff might need a refresher in which perks are given to reciprocal frequent flyers, but the contact at Velocity told me they didn't know the benefits and that I would have to check with Etihad to see what benefits are given to Etihad Guest members. I thought that was weird and ill-informed, I mentioned to them that even if Etihad dictated what the benefits are, that Virgin would be responsible for delivering those benefits on Virgin flights. They agreed and told me to contact them again if Etihad did confirm the benefits and that they would pass on the info to the Virgin team. Don't you think this is rubbish product knowledge?

I've flown VA in business as a gold wielding frequent flyer and had the priority tags missed... When I was in a real hurry at the other end and they happened to be last out. There was also a sports team on the flight with all their complementary golds and 3 bags each priority tagged. Very frustrating!
