i may be flying Tiger for a trip to cairns from melbourne as its half the price than flying the others. I always fly qantas but im not paying 650 a ticket. compared to 250 each. Think I should be ok with tiger?

You get what you pay for. As long as it's for leisure and not reliant on being there for a meeting etc why not, even if it's a bit late you will get there eventually, hopefully,

The only thing wrong with tiger air really is that delays/Cancelations are quite frequent. Also if your use to flying Qantas, you will find this to be quite a bumpy ride.

If you value your saving above all than you should be OK with anything as long as it cheaper. Ryanair will not die. I just cannot get why people searching dirt-cheap tickets and then complains just about everything.

Tiger is a safe airline, however a very uncomfortable one. Dial your expectations back to zero and you'll have a good trip.

I have flown Tiger a few times over the last few years, for the same reason. Sometimes they are considerably cheaper to a point that you cannot justify paying for a better airline.
I must say that since Virgin has owned the airline that they have gotten a lot better. I still dread their terminal at Melbourne Airport but other than that I find the experience very similar to Jetstar

Why is there no ausbt review of the new terminal? Seems like a major development.

I would assume that not many business travellers would fly on tiger day to day

Maybe not Tiger but I know that I sometimes end up on Jetstar, which will be based in T4 soon too. I'd like to find out some more information too please.

Consider using Jetstars price beat promise if you can meet the criteria for a domestic flight. I consider Jetstar to be better than Tiger. You can then use the Qantas Lounge is you are a member/FF level
