EK, only because they combine business with first class, so it ups the stakes somewhat. CX don't have lounges in Australia and QF is nice, but it is a business-class lounge with the head-turning first class lounge upstairs.
The CX Melbourne is rather basic compare to their lounges elsewhere. I would probably recommend QF lounge for food/drinks if flying CX. EK lounge is the pick for sure although you can only access it if flying EK/QF codeshare flights.

Cathay Pacific has a lounge in Melbourne, as does Oneworld member Malaysia Airlines.

'Still', or 'again'..?
(It was closed in February due to airport works, although it was flagged for a revamp at some point.)

It would seem that the oneworld website needs to be updated as it still say the lounge is temporarily closed.

CX does have a lounge in MEL...
Though, I agree with the sentiment. The Emirates lounge is best if flying EK/QF and have the necessary status.
Cathay's lounge could be worth a visit if you're only flying non-QF oneworld carriers, but I can't vouch for it personally.

I would rate Qantas up there but from review the Emirates lounge, mainly because it is First and Business combined
