Booking spare seat using Virgin 2for1 CC
Just a quick update on the question I posted a few weeks back. Virgin will let you book a spare seat next to you using the Virgin credit card 2-for-1 offer. They for me they booked it as "Mr Spare Seat Herbert" and I just have to let the check-in and gate staff know so they know it's not a no show.
I then confirmed with the velocity team that I get full Status Credits for both seats so this is handy for anyone who has the card looking for some extra status creds!

Nice work! Although I much prefer using the 2for1CC offer on Business Class fares, especially when Virgin have the 2 for 1 sale! 2 for 1 twice is pretty sweet!!
