OWS/OWE access to QF DRW lounge when travelling to DIL.
What are people's experiences? Is Air North more like Jetconnect or Jetstar vis a vis oneworld?

If you travelling on a QF flight number on the Air North service you will have access if you QF gold or higher. If you are booked on a Air North flight number you will not have access to the QF lounge. For a OW Sapphire or Emerald not related to QF, you probably won't be eligible to access the lounge as you need to travel on a OW operated and marketed flight. Air North is not a subsidiary of QF and not part of OW.

Noted. But has anyone had the experience of lounge staff bending the rules (on purpose or in error) given:
1) The flight will be a QF coded flight i.e. Limits the ability to correctly identify access privileges
2) The BP is a QF BP given that pax checked through from MEL, with MEL/DRW on QF metal (and code) i.e. QF BP facilitates human error
3) Access to domestic QF lounges are assessed manually, instead of validation via the computer as in the case for entry to QF international lounges i.e. Higher chances of human error?

TRB you can give it a try and generally the Qantas staff at Darwin are very nice but I would keep the previous QF inbound boarding pass to darwin and ask for access upon arrival.
Generally if a QF flight is leaving soon then they will not care but outside of these times the lounge may either be shut or they will want to look! It gets very busy around 12-2pm ish as the return flights to the easy coast head back home.
If not then depending on the layover go into the city or something!
How long is your layover?
Depending on the time of day you can get some good plane spotting at one end of the runway or some fish and chips on the wharf. You may need to take a taxi ~$30 each way or get the bus $3 each way but bewear the bus does not go to the terminal and its a 1.5km walk from the airport to the end of the airport driveway.
