baggage interline - Bordeaux to syd, AF, EK and then QF on 1 ticket is this possible?
I am travelling on AF from Bordeaux to CDG then EK to Dubai and DBX to SYD in QF. All on one ticket issued by QF. The first leg is in Y and the second two in F. Can I check my bags all the way through and if so what is the best way to get priority tags ( should I ask EK on the way out for some spares). The AF leg only has a one class cabin. I am keen for the priority tags as on my return I connect to an ABX flight at SYD with only 1 hr 50 mins which is often tight!
thanks all

Absolutely no issue if it is on one ticket. All airlines in your itinerary have an interline agreement.

On the issue of priority tags, I wonder if it's possible for you to approach the EK lounge staff at DXB to get them to tag your checked in baggage with priority tags.

??? The OP wants to check their bags all the way through from Bordeaux to Syd. Or are you suggesting the traveller collect their bags in DXB and re-check them from there? That might work :)
In my experience, connecting services from regional airports (assuming this describes Bordeaux accurately) rarely tag bags appropriately for any subsequent sectors. Further, I'm not sure QF or EK would attach any urgency to an AF priority tag.
In my experience, QF priority tags mean nothing on arrival at SYD but EK tags do.
YMMV

Calm down flychrisfly.
It has been known that agents are able to retrieve baggage en route to either remove them from a flight or re-tag them in cases when a misconnect occurs.
I'm wondering, given that obanpointer is a First class pax, if EK might retrieve the bags in DXB to attach a priority tag, if requested.

If booked on the same ticket then there will be no issue at all! Have a good flight! :)
