Air Asia lounge in DPS is it worth$50. I am returning from an unexpected trip to DPS with family. Booked j in airasia last minute leaving at 00:15 with 2 young kids. What's the go with the lounge? Is there food and somewhere for the kids to snooze? Is it worth $50 each?
I guessing its the Premium Lounge, which is nice but not very large, the food selection was small. Free wifi and loads of power points. I cant recall a specific area for kids. Priority Pass website have a couple of photos of the lounge.
I used one of the pay lounges at DPS in july. Must have been the premuim lounge, decent food selection, wasnt bad at all, but i wouldnt pay if they charge you $50 each for kids.
I doubt that the airasia lounge has the same stringent door policy as the commonwealth club or white's in London. My memory of DPS is plastic moulded chairs - not the most conducive to sleep for even the most fatigued 3 year old! Hence a comfy sofa at gone 10 may be most welcome.
I went through DPS a couple of weeks ago. The airport has improved remarkably since my last visit 2 years ago. I saw where that lounge is. It appeared to be a nice looking lounge from the outside. I went to the Garuda lounge which was basically a partitioned waiting gate. It didn't even have a bathroom facility.
There were some decent looking cafe areas. Maybe a tad better value than $50 per head?
