Has anyone else been ripped off by Low Business Fares?
I was left standing at the gate in Frankfurt as the airline "cancelled my ticket". Out of pocket over five grand and they won't return my emails or phone calls. I now know it's a scam where they trade dodgy frequent flier points for their customers tickets. Does anyone have any advice or has anyone experienced this before?

The Alpha Flight Guru thread is well worth a read. It's full of similarly poor/negative experiences.

Requesting a credit card chargeback from your bank may be your only option.

I just had a read of the other thread - sounds like such a scam "industry". I can't understand how they're still allowed to operate anywhere in the world, let alone (what they claim is) the USA.
As Peter said, it seems that a chargeback should be your first port of call, and hopefully that covers whatever you paid to Low Business Fares. After that, maybe initiate some form of legal action? I guess it all depends on how much you're out of pocket costs are.
As an aside though, I used Alpha Flight Guru in 2013 for business class return airfares from Sydney to Vancouver. It all went off without a hitch and I saved several thousand dollars compares to the airline websites BUT knowing what I do now, I count my fortune that nothing went wrong. I choose to book directly with established travel agencies or direct through the airlines now.
Hope you sort it all out, Pete.

I flew them last for RTW - Melbourne-Singapore-HK-Shanghai-Seoul-Tokyo-SF-LA-NYC-London-Paris-Istanbul-Johannesburg-CPT-Dubai-Mumbai-Delhi-Bangkok-Auckland-Santiago-GIG-GRU-EZE-Sydney ALL FOR $1 - YES! We booked Economy but they put us in First Class. It was amazing and I would recommend it to everyone!
And then I woke up...

If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. If you could see how much cheaper the flights were and didn't do any research about hte company before handing over your money, it's hard to have sympathy.
If an offer looks waaay too good, the first thing any smart person would do is a quick google search

It's nice to get a discussion going about this Low Business Fares scam.
I had no idea that a rip off company could buy frequent flier points and then use them to buy tickets for someone else.
It looks like they operate in USA as well so legal action is perhaps possible.
Anyone else out there lose their money?

I was ripped off by these guys too!
Left standing at the gate in San Fransisco with two kids.....not happy to say the least!
They don't return my calls, and owed me $200 for changing the ticket prior to this nightmare happening.
Agents Simran and James are the ones that I dealt with. Avoid at all costs!
