Flying on American Airlines between LAX-PHX and return on their A321 in November. Just some questions regarding who operates it and the aircraft itself. (I will be in economy)

1. US Airways currently operates the route, so will I be flying on American or US airways? Have they merged to be just one carrier yet?

2. Will this mean it is legacy US Airways A321 or AA A321's? Are US A321's being retrofitted/have been to match AA aircraft?

3. Has anyone flown this route/aircraft before and any pointers?

Thank you all.

US AW is effectively dead now, with AA flight codes being used on all flights. Most likely you will be on an ex US AW A321 with a differenet seat configuration than the new AA A321s which are primarily used on Transcontinental routes. Seat Guru shows both layouts. Difference sadly will be less noticeable in Economy.
