How does it compare to QF which provides full service which we have been loving each time holidaying in ZQN?

If you book Business class or buy a full flexi ticket it's full service (meal etc). If you don't, all you'll get is tea, coffee and water, with the option of buying snacks or hot meals. For IFE if you have your own device (iPad, iPhone etc) you can download the Virgin Entertainment app and watch their content (movies etc) for free.

I have flown SYD-AKL on VA, although this was booked on an NZ codeshare under 'the works'. I received a 'snack-box' sort of thing as well as a chunky iPad tablet to watch (very limited) content on. While I have never flown QF internationally, I would assume that Qantas/Jetconnect would offer a more comprehensive service in Y.
While there was nothing wrong with VA, it seemed more 'very good LCC' than 'full service'

For full service to ZQN you can't beat Qantas

The VA flights are often late, and get diverted much more often than QF or NZ when ZQN weather is dodgy.
