I was just looking at the earn table for Qatar airways on Qantas' site and I wondering 'have they put all the booking class codes in the wrong categories'?

In other words, the first class codes are business class, business class is flex economy and economy is discount economy.
That's not right is it?

It's (unfortunately) not a typo, rather part of the latest round of Qantas changes to partner earning rates. We've summed up the good and the bad: What Qantas' latest frequent flyer changes mean for travellers

It confusing when you use the calculator - if you but it, say Doha - Ho Chi Minh or Doha - Moscow the points are fairly much what you would get if you were not going with Qatar.
But if you but in Doha - London then you get sweet stuff all.
I guess since those routes are not in any of the tables that Qantas has, it reverts to the old 'points by miles table' at the bottom.
So, to me that means sometimes a business class or first class fare is treated lowly, and other times highly.
Either that or their calculator is on the fritz.

QR fares are too low, Qantas has decided to single-handedly recalibrate and "means test" accruals.
Similar in vein to US airliners placing a dollar earn requirement, but just less transparent and with far-reaching effect (non US based FF members of UA and DL are not subject to dollar earn requirements).
