Flying from PER-MEL in 'The Business'. The flight departs PER 9:45am and arrives into MEL at 4:20pm. What is likely to be served on this flight, Breakfast or Lunch?
I have flown J on this flight and from memory, it was a breakfast that was served. As most people had eaten in the Lounge, it seemed most people took the express option onboard.
Why breakfast I have to ask. 9.45 am departure means earliest meal service around 10.30. Most people had breakfast hours ago. Breakfast must be cheaper for them I guess. By "them" I mean quite a number of carriers who do this on various routes.

Does seem late to be serving breakfast. Would have thought an early lunch would be more in line with the destination timezone.
