I've recently been dropped from QFF Gold to Silver due to a new job with no travel :( I assume they will, but will my Gold bag tags still work if I'm Silver or Bronze?

I'm pretty sure the tags are just for vanity's sake. The code's the the barcodes the print out will say otherwise. 

But how were you wanting the Gold tags to work exactly - in which scenario?

The tags will still function at check-in regardless of your status. The colour on them is just for decoration. The red ones from the store work the same as the silver, gold and platinum one, regardless of the current status of the traveller.

Thanks other posters, but I was referring to the metal tags which store your details...you don't need to add a baggage tag as it's stored within the coloured bad tag...whilst they show off your status they're also functional.

They aren't linked to your FF account in any way. You can give them to a friend/family and they continue to work. As others have said the colours are just for vanities sake.
