It isn't a shock, has been in the news for a while. Wagners (the owners of WTB) have been working hard to get more flights into Wellcamp and they're doing well. The CX cargo demo flight was a sight to see. Anyhow, forward bookings are very strong including from my own family and others in the Toowoomba/Lockyer Valley area. Really hoping the don't leave from MEL T4 as well :)
I used to use the TSV - DRW service with Airnorth many times, but in the end to many late flights, not just an hour or two but sometimes 8 - 10 hours, with no back up aircraft it was very frustrating to lose an entire day and not be told what was going on. If you book as a QF flight you can't access select seats on QF and you can't access online check in on the Airnorth website which was very frustrating, always left down the back, hopefully they fix these issues or many business passengers will avoid the service,
Real Perks would be if they opened a small QF Club even if it was like a koru express club at Toowoomba airport.
Not leaving from Melbourne Terminal 4.
Flight times are a bit sucky but while the Friday night flight out and Sunday night flight back would be great for weekend getaways the weekday flights are not so good for business travel on any other day then a Monday.
