Unless EK has specifically refurbished the B77Ls used for this route all business seats on their fleet of B777s are angled lie-flat. I would take what SeatGuru says with a large pinch of salt.
That'd be because this, for whatever reason, was announced by Emirates at around 1am Sydney time (and 4am Auckland time) when we and most Australians are asleep. At 10am we published a story after speaking with Emirates: Emirates to fly Auckland-Dubai non-stop
Re: Swiss: the airline is a Star Alliance member, a Singapore Airlines joint venture partner for flights to Australia and is launching something relatively new and somewhat controversial, the combination of which makes it also newsworthy.
This order isn't a done deal, 10% of the manufacturing/parts are from the U.S.A. And further trade negotiations are required, and you'll see a similar order on Boeing as well.
But really, who would want to fly Iran air? That will require one serious marketing campaign!
Update: as at August 2015 EK 772LR business seats were definitely "old business" angled. Probably still are, in which case SeatGuru is wrong and eminere is right.

Addendum: Their business seats on long-haul configured B777s are angled lie-flat.

Curious to know why Aus BT don't report on this for their readers across the ditch but report on Swiss potentially introducing phone calls...

Iran (Persia) has clout, history and culture without having to go out of its way to make a name for itself. It doesn't need to enter this stupid race.
