I really enjoy my Diamond status with Hilton Honours which I got through becoming Virgin Platinum.

I really enjoy my Diamond status with Hilton Honours which I got through becoming Virgin Platinum. I booked several stays with Hilton around the world this year and got a free upgrade, free access to the Executive Lounge (which saved diner and breakfast) and complimentary WIFI.

Does anybody know if this membership gets offered again when you secure Platinum with Virgin? Or do you need to obtain the desired nr of points/nights/stays? Thank you

It's only offered for the first year, to maintain you have to meet the HH minimum stay requirements.

As Marc said, unfortunately they do not renew unless you have done their required stays. I argued my case saying i have stayed at Hilton far more than i would have due to Diamond, but that did'nt get me anywhere.

they offer Free Wifi now to all HHonors members. Some of their executive lounges are far too crowded as they do not end up getting policed well, so i did'nt worry too much.

Hilton offers Free Diamond with their new credit card along with Macquarie, worth looking into it if you are very keen.

Can you please advise what credit card is this, I thought they only granted Gold status with their Visa Platinum. 

other way is to drop to gold on VA and then requalify Platinum which would give you diamond hilton :) or even status match, Hilton is running some status matches these days,

Hi Flying-Doctor: I should have been more precise. You get the same card, but if you spend $40,000 you get Diamond status with them (which might be more easier than spending the recommended nights to achieve Diamond and i don't mean financially but logistically it is easier to pool your expenses on this card to achieve it)

HH Diamond has been degraded such that its incremental benefit over Gold is seldom worth the cost (in stays, nights, or spend).   Keeping HH Gold via credit card is simple and cheap.
