Is it 1 or 2 bags on Air NZ Seat + Bag for Velocity Gold?

I have an Air NZ domestic flight next week, on an Economy Seat + Bag fare, booked on the Air NZ website.

I'm Velocity gold, but I have no status with Air NZ or any other Star Alliance member.

Do you know if I can check in 1 or 2 bags? I'm sure I read somewhere that it's 2, but I can't find that info anywhere.

It was booked as an NZ flight number, but during the booking process I added my Velocity number for automatic points/status earning.

The Velocity website lists the following benefit for Gold/Platinum members on NZ Domestic flights:

"Additional checked baggage of one piece up to 23kg - Excluding domestic itineraries where a 'Seat Only' fare has been purchased"

However, this is the perfect sort of question to put to AirNZ on twitter.

Thanks for the Twitter suggestion. I did that and got the answer I was looking for - 2 x 23kg for VA Gold on NZ Domestic. I'll print the tweet and take it with me, in case of discrepancies at check in at AKL.

Also found your quote (I knew I'd seen it somewhere!), but was more confident when I got something in writing from Air NZ themselves.

I've been on quite a few NZ domestic flights at various airports throughout New Zealand and never had trouble checking in a 2nd bag as VA Gold so you should be fine:)
