Non refurbished QF 747's.
Hi peeps,
Just wondering if anyone knows how many of the old configured 747's QF still operates (the ones still fitted with F and angle flat seating in J) and where they depend to be deployed to?
Thanks!
Urgh predictive text....where they TEND to be deployed to :-)

Strange and silly operational strategy re flights from Sydney to Tokyo as both JAL and ANA are offering fully flat bed seats at competitive prices.

JNB has been stuck with the poor J seats on these dinosaurs for ages, and it isn't exactly a short trip. Why?

Lack of competition?
Wish NZ would extend AKL-PER (B789) on to JNB...

Why? They could just put a codeshare on their star alliance partner SAA's PER-JNB flights.
NZ already codeshare on the SA flight PER-JNB. Been on a SAA 343 lately?
I haven't been on any star alliance aircraft since 2005 :P

Those 747's would be almost ready for Freighter conversions.

I thought their plan is to wait for the 787s to start replacing the old 747s next year.
