MULTI STOP ETIHAD BOOKINGS .. Just a warning to everyone. If you book a multi stop business class trip on Etihad website, the system does not tell you if you are entitled to the chauffeur pick up. On a simple return trip, when selecting, the system tells you of the ticket restrictions, but on MULTI STOP it does not. Ive now bought 2 business class returns LHR to SYD with stopovers in ABU DHABI that do not qualify for SOME chauffeurs ... with no warning at the time of booking. So far ETIHAD customer service have not helped, and fallen silent when I pointed out the shortcoming in their booking system.
Well, I use a travel agent and they arranged Business "Z" tickets. Appearantly this is the only fare in business that does not qualify for chauffeur service. Business Saver via the Etihad website (same price!) would have qualified.
Anyway, I'm not too sensitive about chauffeurs and limo's and all but was just trying to save my employer some taxi fares!
According to some around here travel agents are the panacea when it comes to hassle free travel. Thats simply not true, so dont assume that an agent would have told you this information either. Amongst agents and airlines alike, sometimes you need to talk to a few different people to get the right answer.
As a travel agent, I agree with you that not all agents would know. However the responsiblity for not mentioning it would lie with the agent and Shep would have his free chauferred drive each stop.

Neilwood, with respect to your profession, this topic isn't about the broader skills of travel agents such as yourself – your ability to select seats on BA flights, for example, has precisely nothing to do with the topic at hand, which as a reminder is chauffeur drive on Etihad multi-city bookings.
Personal and dismissive comments about other users like the ones which we've just removed also violate the comment policy and have no place here.

Shep has just spent a small fortune with Etihad and might need to cough up cab fares as well. A bit late now to try his luck with Emirates.

My travel agent hopefully would have foreseen that problem.

Surely Etihad can cough up some taxi vouchers at least.

As you continue to ignore the published rules of the site after clearly being warned, your account has now been banned.
AusBT staff have better things to do with our time than constantly having to moderate comments from users who can't follow a few simple rules.
