Looking to activate the VA hotel loyalty upgrade from Gold. Am already Gold with IHG, does anyone know if this bump is stackable or should I go for the HHonours?

I don't know for sure but I doubt it. If that's the case, can't hurt to spread the wings. I took the HHonours and started using Hilton properties. Stayed in 4 or 5 over the last year. It was a bit of an eye opener really. Such a stiff, old business hotel. Apart from Berlin, the others were all awful.

No you can't upgrade your IHG if you are already Gold so the best option is to get HHonours Gold. But keep in mind it will only last a year and you need to stay enough to maintain Gold again during this period.

You get good earn rates with HH. I boost my HHpoints by partacking in e-rewards on line surveys. You can also spilt your HH with VA as well

Agreed - go for HHonors.... but having gone through the process myself, please note that it can take a couple of months for the upgrade to actually go through.....

Thanks for the response. It's a bit of a pity. HIlton hotels are generally so run down in Australia. I mostly travel to Brisbane and Adeladie to my IHG/Accor status just offers me more.
