Can I get in Qantas International Lounge with just a One World Sapphire card or does the booking need to be registered with my status.

Reason why I am asking is because I am looking to get a status match with Air Berlin (VA plat) but accruing my points into my Qantas account. Is this feasible?

Technically your OWS status will need to be on your boarding pass or they won't let you in. May depend on the lounge and in particular the staff member working.

What you can do is enter the OW Sapphire card details to benefit from all the privledges (including potential upgrades) and then do a last minute switch at the gate before boarding to put the other cards details in. 

But make sure when you make the booking that it is registered with the FF number you want to accrue to. Changing at the airport does not change the original FF number entered at booking. This prevents the system picking up the number automatically to accrue miles/points to the desired FF account. 

 One work around if you have already booked is to change the FF number using the AY website. This would update the booking in the reservation system. Do this before travel and before online check in window opens. Then at the airport check in change to QFF, use the lounge etc, and before boarding change it back to the FF you want to accrue.
