Best way to quickly earn Hyatt point? So after 24 months of inactivity, I have until the end of March to earn something on my Hyatt account to avoid closure. AusBT universe, what would you suggest? Thank you in advance!
If you're not routinely staying at Hyatt hotels, would you instead be better off transferring the points you've already earned to an airline frequent flyer program to put towards a free flight or upgrade?
(That or redeem the points now for a stay after the date that they would have expired?)
I was going to say that Hyatt points don't expire, but then I see they changed this back in 2014 with the first account closure and point forfeiture just starting to kick in.
Any activity will extend the account. Purchasing 1000pts for US$24 would seem like a good way.
I would be purchasing some points. The cafes and restaurants in both Hyatts in melbourne dont award points on dining or drinks, however the hotel in Canberra I believe does..

Haha, sorry I forgot to write in the original question that I don't stay that often. So really should have added 'other then hotel stays'.

Good point, Chris. That was the first option I looked into but I don't meet the 5,000 point minimum.
I think it really comes down to coffee at a Hyatt here in Melbourne or buying 1,000 points for $25 USD's
I don't really wanna let it die, cause I have my eye on the Andaz Maui for a trip next year.
