What are you specifically concerned with? I'm not quite sure what you mean by "assistance"?
If it's a through ticket with CX, system controls within the booking system would ensure only valid connections are booked i.e. you will have sufficient time to connect.
If, through the fault of CX e.g. late arrival of incoming flight, you missed your connection, CX will rebook you.
Very doable in HKG and very easy... exit plane, go to nearest transfer desk, through security then to gate. HKG is a very good airport for transfers.
If the incoming plane is late then you will likely see a CX rep on the aerobridge with a sign with your name on it who would escort you through (and jump any usually very minimal queues) security and to the gate
And as TRB says if the connection is missed, CX would protect you.
Agree with the above, but query going to a transfer desk. You should have your boarding pass for YVR, so you just need to follow the signs to the transfer security check and then go up to the departures level. I have done several transfers from CX136 with less than an hour. There can be some large distances to cover between gates, but good to get some exercise between flights!

Hong Kong Transfer. Booked CX 136 PER -HKG and CX838 HKG - YVR in July. CX 136 arrives HKG 15:10 and CX 838 departs 16:20.
Do CX provide assistance with a 1 hour 10 minute connection time.

Thanks for the responses. Just wanted to know if CX staff assisted if the connect time became a little skinny.
