Does anyone know if Virgin fly the A330 on Saturday as VA181 and VA182? i have booked seats on the A330 but on flightaware and flightradar24 they have shown only 738 aircrafts for the last few Saturday's. Anyone able to clarify? Thank you.

They ran the A330 on that route for 3 weeks in April last year and it looks like they are probably doing the same this year as well. I don't know why they would need the extra capacity to Fiji in April.

Also I recall at the time of them announcing the A330 would do selected periods on Fiji, they mentioned the demand for premium seats on the sector. Obviously the 8 domestic class J seats were getting filled.
I would hazard a guess that these leisure sectors are a good points empty for many, particularly J. VA could potentially roster on the A330 in conjunction with velocity having "sold" a large chunk of the premium cabin to rewards seats.

Great, thanks Boof and others for your responses. Looking forward to trying the new business class with family.
