Departing????? If that is what you are referring to, there is a "fast trak" lane that you can go through to speed things up. Let us know where you are going to and maybe we can point you in the right direction there too.

Not sure about Melbourne.
In Sydney its at the opposite end to the Express Lane, and either next to or shared with crew lanes. Around the world quite common for it to be close to/ shared with crew lanes.

I've never really needed it departing Sydney or when arriving in Sydney. The Express Lane Immigration & Security line works well enough for me.
However, the APEC card really paid for itself on the two times I entered Singapore this past 10 days. On both occasions the Immigration lines were quite "loaded".
For Singapore the APEC line is located at the far left hand side of the manned Immigration booths.

Departing Melbourne, show your card and you'll be directed left for security screening (along with Express car people). After that, at immigration turn right towards the Express line - the APEC and crew line is the furthest on the right. I can go from curbside to lounge in 15 minutes using my APEC card - including checkin.

Thanks for the answers. I will be using it in Hong Kong also, sounds like enrolling in their frequent visitor program is worth while.

According to the rules you cannot take a 'guest' into the APEC queue.
