When will QF allow passengers to book stopovers in Dubai on route to London? For now, you can only transit, not stopover.

I have booked just SYD DXB and MEL DXB on QF 1 and QF 9 respectivley. That being said I did it over the phone with the frequent flyer service centre for May next year so it will be interesting to see why they arent offering it for public sale.

I did it about 2-3 weeks ago when they swapped the through flights to the DXB stopover in the GDS

I noticed last week that you can jump onboard the Qantas A380's from Dubai on the Round-the-world booking website.

I've also seen various online travel booking companies allowing you to book (or at least retreive search results that include) Qantas flights to/from DXB, though not all.

i think you will find once the "official seal of approval" has been given to this deal with QF and EK you will be able to book stopovers in DXB or as a destination on QF flights. DXB operates an open skies policy which means in theory any airline can fly to and from DXB and carry passengers beyond. Apart from a small number of airlines like GA BI and LX very few airlines do
