AF lounge access - travelling J to cdg then Y to LYS, 2 tickets one itinerary on af website. No J on CDG to LYS leg, can I access J lounge in domestic CDG. with QF this has never been an issue nor has it been with BA. AF seem to say no way, rather unhelpful when I have spent $23k with them on 4 j tickets!!

I don't think you can justify spending a certain amount on tickets to justify breaking lounge access rules

just seems other airlines are more flexible, and I cannot book J on these flights as there is no J cabin. I was hoping for flexibility on their part, I was also hoping that the agent located in Manila may have got her facts wrong as it seems other airlines offer lounge access if connecting from a business class flight. also I can choose where I spend my very hard earned money and I doubt it will be with AF in the future.

Can appreciate your situation but everyone who purchases airline tickets worked just as hard for their money

and so are equally entitled to spend it where they like. As a "premium client" ( I know that sounds dreadfully entitled!) I have always had more flexibility from other airlines, QF have often changed F and J flights and not charged me the $300 change fee, equally not charged me for changing award bookings. VA have provided lounge access free of charge to entice me to spend my money with them and BA have equally provided lounge access in this situation. I was hoping that AF might see things in a similar vein. Rules are rules, but business is business.
