Just got a mail from QF saying they offer double sc's for all flights booked now and flown between October 18 and December 31st. Does anybody know whether you would get double sc's when booking any seat awards? As you do earn miles and sc's on any seat awards I would think this is the case. Anybody ideas / experiences?

Maybe, but I doubt it. The whole point of this promotion is to gain revenue in the form of money, not points.

Technically QF earns money on the points. They sell FF points to banks for instance, for which they receive funds (hence the QF FF program is their cashcow). I see your point though, I am not certain if you would earn double sc's, but am curious to hear experiences. The T&C state that you will earn double sc's  on "any flight with a QF flight number on the ticket where Status credits are normally earned".

I've earned double SC on any seat rewards.You do so, because with the any seat rewards, you are 'buying' with your points equiv to a full revenue seat status.

You earn full air-miles and regular SC from any seat rewards, there is no reason a double SC promotion would exclude it (unless it specifically said any seat rewards were excluded).

But note, the double SC are posted about a week after your flight - it might be a manual thing.

Double SC promotions are generally targeted.

You get an email, you follow an exclusive link that registers you - they are not generic.

This appears to be one of the few that is limited - just domestic and TT, there was a similar Aus-HK one a few years ago.

Yes you will get double SCs on "Any Seat Awards" which earn SCs, but not on the Classic Awards which don't
