I'm flying Jetstar Perth to Cairns in economy, arriving 6am and then Cairns to Osaka in Jetstar business class.
If I have a QC lounge invitation and my onwards boarding pass, can I stop at the QC lounge in the domestic terminal before changing to the international terminal?
I don't have a Business Max fare so probably wouldn't get lounge access in the international terminal.
I'm aware luggage probably won't be checked through to Osaka, but I would be travelling with some friends travelling in economy who could pick it up on my behalf.
Thanks for any help!

Only one lounge in Cairns located in the domestic terminal, it is only a few years old and quite a good lounge. It is a short walk over to international terminal via a covered walkway in case it's raining. It would depend on your length of time on the ground in Cairns whether it is worthwhile visiting Qantas club or just heading over to international terminal anyway. I have never heard them call for Jetstar int flights before and from memory they are not listed on the monitors in the club.

I'm not sure, but would have thought so because your next onward flight has a Jetstart flight number. It would be easy to try anyway, just go straight up the escalators when you arrive at Cairns domestic and are still airside. If they don't allow you entry then you'd probably be at the bagage carousel by the time luggage started to come out anyway.
They don't call (or display) international flights from the domestic lounge, and the lounge at international is no longer a Qantas lounge, though it is part of the Priority Pass network. The domestic Qantas Club lounge is much bigger, better and newer than the international lounge at Cairns.

Yes you will have access but as others have mentioned no international calls are made nor are the flights even on the screens at the lounge so you should leave around 45-50 minutes before departure to allow for the customs/walk to int terminal. The terminals are about 5 mins walk between them and its completely covered. If your interested in more info just google "Cairns International lounge (Reef Lounge) access policy for QC and QFF passengers" and look for the AFF thread.
