I use the Amex Platinum Travel service quite often and since it has been outsourced from Amex Sydney to Amex US/UK I have experienced a real drop in customer service and wait times (15+ minutes). Emails nolonger get responded 2 and before I would normally have a response to a booking request that day it now takes 2 - 3 days to make a booking. Three out of three recent booking all needed multiple followups etc.
Before I start to look at alternative methods/providers to book flight/hotels is just my bad luck or have others experienced this as well??

Completely the opposite experience.
The UK office have been outstanding and far better than the Sydney office ever was.
they have always followed up, found better fares than I did and been really prompt on any questions.
