EK blocked J seats
How far in advance of flight will EK unblock those blocked seats?
6A+B or 6 J+K, less than 2 weeks now to departure, travel agent says still blocked. Heaven help if there is need for a bassinet.

always been check in in my experience - row 6 on 777 or the window seats i assume you mean? - generally when check in opens not noticed before
If I don't hear before departure, I will be early at check in and enquire there. Otherwise will have to[put up with reserved 9A+B.
we always use 7a and 7b which i know lots of people dont like due to the mismatched window but we love it - early food service/drink service - near loo and quiet in front cabin generally - never managed either row 8 or row 6 to compare though

Yes forward cabin is much better. As its only 2 rows, it feels very exclusive.
