Suggestions for Phnom Penh hotels?

Thee is a Sofitel and a bunch of boutique hotels in the city with nothing else in between.

I'm not a fan of boutique hotels. Looking for a mid-tier chain e.g. Holiday Inn, Novotel, Melia, Ramada...even a Best Western!

I'm quite shocked really - it will be my first visit to the land that is good enough for our refugees!

It's shame you're not a fan of the boutique hotels as there are some great ones I love staying at in PP.

I've heard The Raffles is meants to be great in PP, many friends have stayed there and say it's pretty fab

Can you reccomend some?

I don't quite get boutique but if its the only thing on offer....

I like the consistency of chains. You know what to expect.

excuse the type...recommend.

Get me a chain hotel and Starbucks, and I'm all set.

From looking at TA - La Rose Boutique looks pretty good

Last time I was there we stayed at TEAV Boutique Hotel. Was great!

We'll likely stay there again when we're back at the end of the year.

It's in the expat area, so there's great restaurants and bars nearby. It's a short  tuk tuk ride to the Riverfront.

If you get the chance make sure you have dinner at the FCC! Otherwise Topaz is great too

My only stay in PP anumber of years ago was at Lebiz Hotel which I thought was decent. Funky business style hotel in a good area. Very stark white design.. Looking at Tripadvisor though its ranking has slipped over the years though.

Some of the boutique hotels in PP are far better than the bigger chains.
I stayed at Inter Con not modern out of date and way out of town. Then tried Casino had paper thin walls.

Boutique in Cambodia is the way to go.

I agree also with the boutique hotel notion that others have shared.

End of last year I stayed at the Colina Boutique Hotel in PP.

Cheap room rates, rooftop pool, cheap bar, nice rooms and friendly staff.

It had a few things that could be improved, but overall had a great time there, enough for me to recommend it to others.
