I think i understand the question. You won't accrue status credits on codeshares of Etihad. I flew Alitalia a while back (before they signed up with VA) and i got status credits for Etihad but not Alitalia. This would apply for TAP Portugal as well.

Sorry, I was going to ask, do you get Virgin Status credit flying Ethiad marked flights but operated by TAP Portugal?
