Stay there regularly, for what you pay elsewhere you don't get a lot but that's Darwin. Parking is a pain and valet parking slow and time consuming but it's right in the centre of town so once you drop your car off you don't need it again. Rooms were done a couple of years ago when it changed from a Crowne Plaza and are amongst the best in town. The lobby bar is generally quiet as most get out and enjoy the bars this time of year, there are many nearby. A couple of good spots to eat are Char for a steak on the esplanade, a very short walk and get a spot outside under the big fig tree and watch the sun go down on the deck, or Hanuman which is a bit of a walk, 400m or so down the other end of Mitchell St, it is a mix of Thai / Indonesian, I always get to that one. Just remember it's Darwin and they are never in a rush and close enough is good enough, but you get used to it, enjoy.

Are there any reviews on the Hilton Hotel in Darwin? I am staying there this coming weekend and what to know what to expect. Thanks.

Haven't stayed at the Hilton in Darwin but I did have a lunch in there and the lobby area seemed nice.
On the restaurant front be sure to try Char, Hanuman and Pee Wee's at the point - amazing food!
