There will not be any set date for this untill the ACCC aproves of the alliance, that is why you can only fly qantas to dubai and london from 31 march 2013

Qantas is prohibited from doing so unless and until the ACCC gives its approval for the alliance.

As of yesterday QF is now letting you book Aus- DXB on its metal, so presumably they received IASC approval for these routes.
As PK says, the alliance with Emirates needs ACCC approval.
