Obviously the two seats in the middle are best for couples (rather than the window seats). We usually go as far toward the front as possible, but find them much of a muchness in terms of length, width etc.
2E/2F are good. But depends on flight duration. If your doing a 7-8 hour leg overnight and want to sleep then the single seats at the window affford more space for storage, and feel a little more private. However for day time or long haul the middle seats are the best. But not row 1 which is nearer the toilets. If your lucky the cabin will be fairly empty and you can have the middle seats for dining and watching movies, and empty side seats for sleeping.
Having travelled with the wife in EK F a few times, we always go for the window seats. The reaility is we are unlikley to be talking to each other much anyway, and would prefer the window view and more privacy. If you wish to engage in socialising, you can go to the back bar in J.
If I was travelling F with my partner I would not want to eat facing each other, one would be on that very uncomfortable dickie seat whislt you were in a propper seat.
We just did this last month flying from Mel to LHR on Qantas. We really enjoyed eating together and did so for the 3 main meals that we had over this journey.
Granted, the second seat is not super comfortable but its not terrible either and with the excellent table service that Qantas provided it was a very nice experience to share toegether.
When I'm travelling with my would be partner, I wouldn't want to necessarily sit together. The best seats are the windows.... we can be together when we're not on the plane.

"Emirates A380 Fist Class"
Sounds painful.

I dont think it really matters. on ek you cant dine together, sit together etc so you will be pretty much in your own cocoon.
I wouldnt choose 1a, too near the toilet.
if you want to spend time together, try the bar at the back and ask them to fetch your favourite tipple form the F cabin.

You can dine together by lowering the privacy wall.
