Returning to OZ you need to make sure you buy duty free at the last stop on your return to OZ otherwise you will not be permitted to carry on board. For example, dont buy in HKG if you are flying HKG>>>SIN>>>BNE buy either in SIN or maybe on arrival at BNE

readosunnycoast: You cannot buy duty free liquor in hong kong for australia bound flights. No liquids other than baby milk and water allowed. Some bizarre rule!!!

Australia does have dumb rules regarding liquids on flights to Australia from any port, yet is happy to allow people to carry as much as they like onto flights leaving Australia. BIZARRE!!!! and more 'so called 'security' nonsense.

No. You can't take any liquids as carry on on an international flight over 100ml unless you've purchased it duty free after security.

You MUST pack them in your checkied in luggage. This is all about "carry on" security and totally separate from any duty free allowances.

Only duty free but if you have purchased at another port and are changing planes at Singapore security is done at the gate and if you have made your liquid refreshment purchase somewhere apart from the Changi duty free outlets you well might have a problem
If Singapore is your transit point refer to the Changi airport website for guidance
