Sorry, as you can see Lyn is not good at this. I got lost somewhere! We have been offered a Qantas auction upgrade for travel next week from Sydney to New York. Just wondering if someone can give us an amount we should offer. We are both silver. Thanks for any help.

suggest you think of a dollar amount you're comfortable to offer and go with that; I used this type of deal on a domestic fare recently and offered the absolute minimum but still got the upgrade (it's all $ in the QF coffers)
at best it will be accepted
at worst it won't and you won't be out of pocket
I haven't flown that distance in PE, but have done Sydney/Tokyo twice in last 2 years in PE and had good experience both times - obviously the big difference overall is the lie-flat bed but the extra seat width and recline in PE, plus relatively small dedicated cabin sure makes a difference

Thanks for your reply Neil. We have put in an offer with what we think. I will let you know if it is accepted.
