Some friends first time flyers with Qatar and without any One World status in the cheapest airfare bucket were lucky enough to score an upgrade to Business, good on them
They flew from DME to DOH and at DME were refused access to the what they described as' the Platinum Lounge'
They were informed that pax with complimentary upgrades werent allowed to use the lounge, has anyone else struck this senario with lounge entry
Yep, with Qatar and also Emirates your lounge access privileges are based on the ticket you booked and your frequent flyer status, not the cabin you're upgraded to if you happen to get a freebie.
