Can anyone confirm QF581 SYD to PER on Dec 5th 2012 is a B747. Flightmapper shows a B747 but the Qantas site shows a B767.

It is scheduled as a 767-300 at the moment. Dont know if there is plans to change that. Not sure where those independant sites like flightmapper pull their information from, but it looks like its pulling a timetable from a GDS, which may not be accurate, as airlines only updated that information periodically. When you click on the flight number the aircraft changes to 767 300

At the moment, it's definitely a 767.

The 747 isn't operating through December and January because of reduced traffic over the summer holidays... It's back some time in Janauary, but the flight will be a 767 in December.

Flight QF 581
Operated by Qantas

Definitely a 767-300ER at the moment, as shown on the Qantas website.

No 747 operates this route during this period, although you can get an A330-200 with seatback screens, and possible internation standard seats on:
QF575- 8:10am-10:05am
QF577- 12:05pm-2:0pm
QF583- 7:25pm- 9:20pm
If possible, I would switch to one of those flights, as the 767 product is terrible.

The 747s are being taken off the SYD - PER flights so it is highly unlikely that you will have one.
