I've got a BNE-DRW and DRW-SYD in QF 737 Business. The QF website is vague around IFE options. The Entertainment section of the QF website states iPad's are not supplied for 737's and the Domestic Business section of the website just states IFE is available. Are iPad's supplied in 737 Domestic Business of in-built IFE is not installed?
All well and good but I'll only have an iPhone and a laptop. If I can use the laptop with a powerport then that's fine, but if I have to use the iPhone to stream for 3-4 hours that will be a hassle.
Not necessarily. Individual IFE is very hit and miss. It has been available about 40% of flights to/from DRW in past month. The rest of the tims is aisle drop down screens or bulkhead screens in J which are poor at best.
All bar one operating 737s have either seatback IFE (SIFE) or Q-Streaming (BYO) - 29 with SIFE, 36 with Q-Streaming, VH-VYC in the shop, and VH-VXM with only overhead screens.
So always have a BYOD device with you if you want to watch movies.
Flew SYD-PER last night on a 737, and the crew were handing out 'how to stream' cards as we all queued up. A bit late to download the required app unfortunately. There were no IFE units in seats or arms, just small drop down screens under the overhead lockers. Moreover, no power points in Y. Was close to J seating, didn't see any of them on iPads, but there were two large screens for them on the front bulkheads plus a couple of drop downs. Like many I carry my own iPad and do my own thing. Don't think I could handle watching anything on an iPhone for 5.5 hours though.

Not in my experience, however I haven't asked as I always BYO my own device. I would doubt that they have them and don't offer them to J passengers.

Yeah they suck, but still counts as IFE. OP needs to relax with a good book.
