Assuming it's a 747 with the new configuration, rows 43 and 44 are good as they're in their own 'mini cabin'.The downside is 43 is a bassinet position and 44 is immediatly in front of a galley.
Exit rows 46ABCHJK are also good, but beware of 46A and 46K which has restricted leg room due to the door.
Rows 69-72 are in groups of two if travelling with someone.Row 73 is near the toilet block.Enough said!
Lots of choice. It's down to personal preference really.
Have a great trip!

I am also interested in seating advice in Y on the refurbed 747s. How is the legroom in 60H,J&K (on the bulkhead behind the galley). Looking for seating for my son, who is tall but not keen to spend the $ on exit rows.

60HJK are right behind the main economy class galleys and across the aisle from a bassinet position. To say it could be noisy is an understatement!
If I were you I'd splash out for an exit row ailse seat if you want extra leg room.

Unfortunately all the forward exit row seats are taken, so there is only row 58 available. This would be similar for galley and bassinet proximity. Any view on the legroom in 60HJK ?

I've been stuck in 46K on that leg. Aviod at all costs, the bulkhead of the door sits right in front of you so you have to swing your legs to the left. It becomes very uncomfortable.
Although its easy to get up and go to the bathroom and the FAs tend to take pity on you and spoil you a bit.

Thanks for the tips. I cannot select 43 and 44 at the moment. Can select 46DEFG, are these behind a galley or toilet?
My hope is this is all academic and i get my requested upgrade but on the 27/12 i dont like my chances.

I currently have 70K selected, the second row of the two seats.
