Travelling mel cdg on one ticket ( mel sin on sq, sin cdg on af) then cdg lys on another ( don't ask me why but AF won't ticket all way through on this fare bucket) have the option of 6 hrs or 1 hr 20 mins connection between sq and AF flight in sin. SQ will tag bags to cdg, last trip the transfer desk organised to retag the bags to LYS avoiding the need to collect them in cdg. Does anyone know what the minimum time to do this would be? 1:20 is enough to make the AF flight but is it enough to retag the bags?

Assuming you'll have a boarding card for the SIN-CDG flight, you probably won't have one for the CDG-LYS sector. That means you'll have to clear customs/immigaration in Paris and re-check in domestcally for the flight to Lyons.

Singapore Changi issues boarding passes and offers luggage transfer as a free service to all passengers transferring via Singapore, with exception of some low cost airlines.
Unfortunately there is no info on their website regarding minimal transfer times...

not so
agents can print boarding card in SIN and customs check can happen in LYS!
But do I have enough time for the bags to be retagged?

Out of interest, how do the French separate passengers on a domestic flight that need to go through customs or not?

I have the same flight SQ/AF in J class to CDG and found that the connection time was tight (even at SIN). I got to the AF flight but my luggage did not. I had to file a report at CDG (in long queue with others) and only received my bags ca. 3 days later (for whatever reasons from SIN they sent to bags to Dubai and then CDG rather than waiting for the next day's AF flight). AF gave me a white T-shirt and an amenity bag. Fortunately I had spare clothing in my cabin luggage. I am sure that this does not happen on all connections but I was unlucky in that instance.
