Does anyone know if I hold a Velocity gold/platinum card and have a booking on Virgin America via SFO, am I able to access the clubhouse free of charge or am I just eligible to purchase a ticket for entry? I have heard conflicting stories on this.
Clubhouse = Virgin Atlantic which is a totally distinct airline from Virgin America (which will soon by owned by Alaska Airlines)
In addition the Virgin Atlantic lounge is in the International - A section which afaik isn't connected to the rest of the airport (SFO is a bit like LAX with only some terminals connected)
So I don't think you'd have access at all.
There is an Amex Centurion lounge in SFO which you might be entitled/entitled to buy access to.
