MU740 is run 3 times a week. A quick check on flightaware, i can't see any time it hsa been cancelled in the last few months. I am confused by your question. Or... And i think more likely, you are confused because it only runs 3 days per week.
I think you are seeing this on the Melbourne Airport website? For some reason, the airport website lists MU739/740 on days that the flight doesn't operate, because it is listed and does not operate on those days its status is listed as "cancelled". Good news for everyone, as that flight will be daily soon and on the 77W ! Happy flying ~
