SIA multi-leg flights seems to get cheaper the more legs there are (based on a sample size of one).e.g. each approx. 7 hour each way return trip in J is approx. AUD 3500 when priced individually (MEL-SIN or SIN-NRT) but when these two are combined (MEL-NRT via SIN) the second 7 hour return is around AUD1300 (a third of the cost of the first 7 hour return) for a total of AUD4800. All legs are a U class booking.
Seems like a big discount for the second of a multi-leg trip - is this normal for SIA and other airlines?
