I've been reading this on The Qantas Source and it has me in questions
'QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPJ, which has been under maintenance at Victorville since 10th October, positioned Victorville â Kona late tonight as QF6004. The aircraft is expected to be have been repainted from QANTAS 1984 however the unusual routing via Kona and the fact that the ferry flights are all under cover of darkness, and the fact that the aircraft will arrive into Sydney just in time for a press event announcing the first QANTAS Boeing 787-9 routes points to some sort of special livery.'
It does look like they went to American and did a copy-edit-paste.
I don't mind the logo so much, although I think they should have stuck with a gold ribbon instead of switching to silver, but the new font does bother me.
I'm in the 'love it' camp :) Love the added sliver accents...gold is no longer part of QFs colour palette, in the cabin or out and soooooo last century lol. Silvers/greys is much classier in my opinion. Love the new font, which fits better/clearer on the belly than the thicker font would. Also love the nod to the past 'flying roo' logo under the flight deck windows A great mix of past and future. ALL QF aircraft (including 'link' are planned to be done by QFs 100th anniversary in 2020. The roo has been 'blind' and mouthless for many many many years, so I don't understand all the fuss about its arms. lol. Still looks like a roo to me. There are currently about 10-12 mainline aircraft (1-2 A333s and 10 B738s) which still don't have the current roo (ie the pre 2008 roo), and these aircraft will 'jump' straight into this newest roo :)
I don't mind most of the changes but draw the line at no arms for Roo much to stylized for my taste, like to be able to identify the flying kanga thanks!!

Do You think the next one will be without legs and tail no arms, eyes and mouthless
Exactly! This is the worst bit. Font is ok and Qantas under the belly is great, love the retro winged kanga with the aircraft's name under the nose. But the Kanga on the tail?! No way - looks like an out of shape boomerang...

I really like it. Especially the new font. I'm also glad they've put QANTAS on the belly.

The Kangaroo now looks more like Rolls Royces Spirit of Ecstasy it's been streamlined so much. What a lot of hoopla about nothing.
