I have a number of airmiles with British Airways I would like to transfer to my Qantas FF account but is this possible? BA's Executive Club doesn't allow me to change my address to Australia saying that the EC doesn't exist in Oz.

Nope, you can't transfer miles from BA to Qantas. You might want to research whether you can transfer them into a hotel program and then onwards, though.

But with the Qantas-BA breakup, I'd put a small wager on the Executive Club returning to our shores. I'd hang fire for the moment and see what happens between now and, say, May.

You can't transfer them. But you could use BA Avios points to redeem on Qantas flights.

As John says, when the QF/BA JSA ends in 2013, potential that the restriction on Australian members will cease.
