Hi there,

I'll be flying out of BKK in Singapore Air business class - wondering which lounge folks would recommend. Beyond the SilverKris lounge, it seems I have access to Thai and EVA as well. I've been in the Thai lounges - does EVA beat them and SilverKris?
Many thanks for any advice or comments.

Agree that the SQ lounge isn't much, just better than the TG.

If you make it to the EVA lounge let us know how it is! Just don't miss your flight, there are some long walks between the different wings of BKK.

Thanks for your thoughts, people. That all fits with the few reviews I found online. Yes, looks like the EVA lounge is away from the usual SQ gates but might be worth the stroll to check out the apparently Tron-like interior design!

None of the TG J lounges are that great. I quite liked the SQ lounge there - very quiet, peaceful, nice view over the gardens and plenty of hot food options.

I've yet to try EVA, but I spend quite a bit of time in SQ (quite good, light, decent food/booze), and TG which is notably unspectacular.

Flew through in August 15. If you're on a Thai flight you can get a free massage in one of the lounges.

Of all the SA options, I really enjoyed EVA Air. Worth the walk over for a quieter place, nice staff and the best showers/bathrooms :)

and I had a 5 hour layover so more than enough time to check out almost all the different options :)

The new Eva lounge is the best Star Alliance option. Unfortunately none of the Star Alliance lounges offer champagne though, while Cathay (Emirates for QF holders on EK) and the One World lounges do.

A list of Star Alliance and Priority Pass lounges in Suvarnabhumi shown here:

Thai Royal Silk lounges:

Concourse C West

Concourse C East

Concourse D West

Concourse D East

Royal Orchid Concourse E West

other than Thai lounges, there's 2 options:

SilverKris Lounge Concourse C

EVA Air lounge Concourse F

If you have Priority Pass as well, then you could visit those lounges:

Air France-KLM Lounge Concourse F

Oman Air Lounge Concourse E

Louis' Tavern CIP Lounge Concourse A/C/F and 3 in G.

I'm writing post from the Eva lounge mentioned on this thread.

I'm on TG, with enough extra time to walk down from the middle of the terminal to the far end where the lounge is located.

As has been mentioned by me and others, this lounge is probably to far for those on SQ unless they have a lot of time.

That said, this lounge is superior to the SQ lounge. Also to the TG lounge, unless your stopping for a massage. But if you are on TG and here early you could do both.

This Eva lounge is quite good. It has a new feel, in stark contrast to the falling apart feel you get from TG AND SQ.

The food is a lot better, both in terms of selection and quality. This, to me, would be the main reason to make the trek.

The drinks selection is on par with the SQ lounge. There is beer on tap here, don't recall if SQ had that.

Bottom line, if your gate is between area D (the middle of terminal) and F (the far end opposite SQ gates); the Eval lounge is worth a lack of you have 45 minutes or more until boarding.

It is the best of the *A lounges at BKK.
