About 9-10 years ago, I purchased a 2-year membership to the Qantas Club. It was around + $600. About 6-months later, I then got to Platinum Status - giving me "free" access to lounges. So my question, "does Qantas hold the original purchased membership "open" for the remaining number of months to run, once I stop being a Platinum FF"? Any ideas on this?

It should be in the pack they sent you.

The original Qantas Club membership is suspended whilst you're either Platinum/Gold and will pick up again (for the remaining amount of time) if you drop back to Silver.

If however you have held Platinum for 9-10 yrs you must be getting very close to Lifetime Gold, which is effectively Qantas Club for life.

1,400 to attain and 1,200 to retain - that's about 12,200 over 10 years. Another 1,800 to go. Congrats!
